Preliminary Programme

the Fifth PKU Postgraduate Summer School on Frontiers of Comparative Civil Procedural Law

From July 14 to 18, 2025, primarily organized by Peking University Law School and China Civil Procedural Law Society and supported by the IAPL, the Fifth PKU Postgraduate Summer School on Frontiers of Comparative Civil Procedural Law (hereafter 2025 PKU Summer School) was successfully held on the campus of Peking University in Beijing, China.
Under the theme “Civil Procedure from the Perspective of Fundamental Rights Protection”, the 2025 PKU Summer School brought together renowned civil procedural law experts to provide in-depth analysis and facilitate scholarly exchange within relevant research fields. The program comprised a symposium on comparative civil procedure methodology and eight lectures – five delivered in Chinese and three in English – conducted through a hybrid format combining online and offline participation.
The 2025 PKU Summer School attracted over 80 participants, studying in Mailand China or overseas, and featured keynote addresses from distinguished international scholars, and IAPL members, including Professor Eduardo OTEIZA (Argentina), Professor Masahisa DEGUCHI (Japan), and Professor Yulin FU (China).
